Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Linguini

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguini and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

Preparing Shrimp

  1. 2

    Sauté Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the baby shrimp, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Making Marinara Sauce

  1. 3

    Prepare Sauce

In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add the canned crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Combine Shrimp and Pasta

Once the sauce is ready, add the cooked linguini and sautéed shrimp to the skillet. Toss gently to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the marinara sauce.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Garnish

Serve the shrimp pasta in bowls, garnishing with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley on top.
