Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk together until evenly mixed.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the warm water and olive oil. Stir to mix well.

Dough Formation

  1. 3

    Create Dough

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir until a shaggy dough forms.

  2. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Proofing and Baking

  1. 5

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  2. 6

    Shape the Bread

Once risen, punch down the dough to release excess air. Shape it into a loaf and place it in a greased bread pan.

  3. 7

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped loaf with a damp cloth and let it rise again for about 30 minutes, until it rises above the edge of the pan.

  4. 8

    Preheat Oven

While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  5. 9

    Bake the Bread

Once the second rise is complete, place the bread in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.

  6. 10

    Cool the Bread

Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
