Clean and Soak Shellfish
In a large bowl, soak the live clams and mussels in cold water for 30 minutes to remove any sand or grit. Rinse thoroughly under running water.

Prepare Vegetables
While the shellfish is soaking, scrub the red potatoes and corn on the cob. Cut the corn into halves if desired and set aside. Cut the lemons in half.

Prepare Garlic
Peel the cloves of garlic from the head and set aside.
Cooking

Boil Water
In a large pot, fill with water (about 4 quarts) and bring to a boil. Add salt (about 1 tablespoon) and Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

Cook Potatoes
Add the red potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 10-12 minutes until they are tender but firm.

Add Corn and Garlic
Add the corn on the cob and garlic cloves to the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add Shellfish
Carefully add the clams, mussels, shrimp, and lobsters to the pot. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the shellfish open and are fully cooked.

Add Lemon and Season
Squeeze the juice of the halved lemons into the pot and season with additional Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Serving

Serve Hot
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the clambake mixture to a large serving platter. Serve hot with additional lemon wedges and a side of white wine if desired.
