Cook the Gnocchi
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the surface, usually about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the marinara sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine Gnocchi and Sauce
Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet with marinara sauce. Gently toss to coat the gnocchi in the sauce.

Add Mozzarella and Bake
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the gnocchi and sauce mixture to a baking dish. Tear the fresh mozzarella into chunks and scatter over the top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the top. Serve hot and enjoy your gnocchi allá sorentina!
