Brewing Process

    Prepare Ingredients

    Gather all the ingredients needed for brewing the Chimay Cinq Cents.

    Boil Water

    In a large pot, bring 200 ml of water to a boil.

    Add Malted Barley

    Once the water is boiling, add 150 g of malted barley and stir well. Let it boil for 10 minutes.

    Add Hops

    Add 20 g of hops to the mixture and let it continue boiling for another 15 minutes.

    Cool Down

    Remove the pot from heat and allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature.

    Add Yeast

    Once cooled, add 5 g of yeast into the mixture and stir gently.

    Fermentation

    Transfer the mixture into a fermentation vessel and let it ferment for about 1-2 weeks.

    Add Sugar

    After fermentation, add 10 g of sugar to the mixture for carbonation.

    Bottling

    Bottle the beer and seal tightly. Allow it to condition for another week.

    Serve

    Chill and serve your homemade Chimay Cinq Cents in a glass. Enjoy!
