Preparation and Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Tomato Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the San Marzano tomatoes. Crush them gently with a wooden spoon and simmer for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt to taste and set aside.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to its highest setting (usually around 250°C or 482°F). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 3
Prepare the Pizza
On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough into a round shape about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 4
Assemble the Pizza
Spread a layer of the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the dough. Tear the mozzarella fior di latte into small pieces and scatter it on top of the sauce. Add spoonfuls of nduja evenly across the pizza.
- 5
Bake the Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- 6
Add Basil and Drizzle with EVOO
Once out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves over the pizza and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil. Let it cool for a minute before slicing.
- 7
Serve
Slice the pizza, serve hot, and enjoy!
