Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 2

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Beef and Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Add the chopped onion, diced carrots, and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Peas and Herbs

Stir in the frozen peas and fresh herbs. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Shepherd's Pie

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture into a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes on top, smoothing it out with a spatula.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Shepherd's Pie!
