Bread Pudding Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture over the torn bread, adding the whiskey-soaked craisins. Gently fold to ensure all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the liquid.

  4. 4

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Grease a baking dish and pour the bread mixture into it, spreading it evenly.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Cool and Serve

Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
