Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Place the ribeye steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over it, seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.

Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for 7-10 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
