Prepare the Phyllo
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Lay out the phyllo dough, covering it with a damp kitchen towel to keep it moist.

Assemble the Baklava
Brush a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter. Place one sheet of phyllo in the dish, brush with butter, and repeat for 5 sheets. Spread a layer of the nut mixture over the phyllo. Layer 2 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with butter, then add more nut mixture. Repeat this process until all nuts are used, finishing with 5 layers of phyllo on top.

Bake
Cut the assembled baklava into diamond shapes with a sharp knife. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.

Finish the Baklava
Once the baklava is done baking, pour the honey syrup evenly over the hot baklava. Allow it to cool completely before serving.
