Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Season the Steak
Sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of the hanger steak. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- 2
Fried Eggs
- 3
Fry the Eggs
In a non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet, cooking until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Chimichurri Sauce
- 4
Prepare the Chimichurri
In a bowl, combine chopped parsley, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and salt. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Crushed Potatoes
- 5
Boil the Potatoes
Place baby potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- 6
Buttermilk Biscuits
- 7
Make the Biscuit Dough
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
- 8
Bake the Biscuits
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently a few times. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
