Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all your ingredients: sourdough bread, taleggio, fontina, provolone, prosciutto, fig jam, and butter.

Assemble the Sandwich
On one slice of sourdough bread, spread 1 tablespoon of fig jam. Layer with slices of taleggio, fontina, and provolone cheese. Add 2 slices of prosciutto on top of the cheese. Top with another slice of sourdough bread.

Grill the Sandwich
In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the sandwich to the skillet. Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt, about 3-4 minutes. Flip the sandwich, add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet, and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

Serve the Grilled Cheese
Once the sandwich is grilled to perfection, remove it from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and serve warm.
