Method

Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork Chops

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the pork chops and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and let rest.

Pimento Cheese

  1. 3

    Make the Pimento Cheese

In a bowl, combine sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Bacon

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon strips and cook until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain.

Pickled Red Onion

  1. 5

    Pickle the Onion

Thinly slice the red onion and place it in a jar. In a saucepan, combine apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture over the onions and let sit at least 30 minutes before using.

B&B Aioli

  1. 6

    Prepare the B&B Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, place a lettuce leaf, then add the pork chop, spread pimento cheese on top, add crispy bacon, pickled red onion, and a dollop of B&B aioli. Serve immediately.
