Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead Dough
Mix together until the dough forms a ball. Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Prepare Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 6
Mix Honey Chili Sauce
In a small bowl, mix honey with spicy picante sauce and chili flakes. Adjust the spice level to taste.
Assembly and Baking
- 7
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) or as high as your oven allows.
- 8
Shape Pizzette
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small balls (about 4-6). Roll each ball out into a small circle, about 6 inches in diameter.
- 9
Add Toppings
Place the rolled out dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each pizzette with garlic butter, then spread the honey chili sauce on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and finish with grated Parmesan cheese.
- 10
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 11
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, and serve hot!
