Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Clean and slice the mushrooms, chop the onion, and mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Noodles

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Brown the Beef

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the onions and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms are softened, about 4-5 minutes.

  3. 5

    Make the Sauce

Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 6

    Combine Beef and Sauce

Return the browned beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and combine flavors. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well incorporated.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

Divide the cooked egg noodles among plates and spoon the beef stroganoff over the noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
