Mezethakia Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Meats

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add the pork and chicken cuts, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Meats

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated pork for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Do the same for the chicken, ensuring it reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).

  3. 3

    Prepare the Gyro Meat

If using pre-cooked gyro meat, simply slice it into thin pieces. If not, cook according to package instructions.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the tomatoes into wedges and set aside.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Plate

On a serving platter, arrange sliced gyro meat, grilled pork and chicken cuts, feta cheese, Greek olives, and tomato wedges. Serve with warm pita bread on the side.
