Seafood Chowder Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add Potatoes and Broth

Stir in the diced potatoes, chicken broth, dried thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Seafood

Add the crab meat, shrimp, and clams to the pot. Pour in the heavy cream and season with salt and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.

  4. 4

    Simmer and Serve

Allow the chowder to simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the seafood is cooked through. Remove the bay leaf, adjust seasoning if necessary, and serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
