Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- 3
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked penne pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
- 5
Serve
Slice the chicken and serve it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
