Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Jalapeños

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat, if desired.

  2. 2

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, bacon bits, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Jalapeños

Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.

  4. 4

    Coat with Bread Crumbs

In a separate bowl, mix bread crumbs with olive oil. Coat the stuffed jalapeños with the bread crumb mixture.

  5. 5

    Bake the Poppers

Place the stuffed jalapeños on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the jalapeños are tender.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with sour cream on the side.
