Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and slice the red and green bell peppers, mushrooms, onion, cucumber, and tomato into thin strips or rounds.

  2. 2

    Toast the Sub Rolls

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the French bread sub rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until slightly crispy.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sub

Spread a generous amount of Dijonnaise on the inside of each toasted sub roll. Layer the sliced vegetables evenly on the rolls, starting with lettuce, followed by cucumber, tomato, onions, and bell peppers. Add the mushrooms and top with cheese slices.

  4. 4

    Final Baking (Optional)

If you prefer melted cheese, place the assembled subs back in the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the oven, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra Dijonnaise on the side.
