Clam Strips

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clam Strips

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. Dip the clam strips into the egg mixture, then dredge them in the flour mixture until fully coated.

  2. 2

    Fry the Clam Strips

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the clam strips in batches and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Fries

While the clam strips are frying, prepare your fries. Cut potatoes into strips, rinse and soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain. Pat dry and fry in the same oil until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the clam strips hot with fries on the side and dill tartar sauce.
