Burger Patty Preparation

Prepare the Bean Mixture
In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth with some chunks remaining.

Combine Ingredients
Add oats, chopped bell pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the mashed beans. Mix until combined.

Form Patties
Shape the mixture into burger patties, about ½ inch thick.

Prepare the Potatoes
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, and paprika in a large bowl until evenly coated.

Bake the Fries
Spread the wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
Assemble the Burger

Prepare the Bun
Toast your choice of burger buns lightly if desired.

Add Toppings
Place lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by the burger patty, sliced tomato, avocado, vegan mayonnaise, and pickles.

Top with the other half of the bun and serve alongside the crispy fries.
