Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, and garlic powder. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture along with olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Potatoes

While the dough is rising, peel and slice the Irish potatoes thinly. Boil in salted water for about 10 minutes until slightly tender, then drain.

  2. 6

    Sauté Potatoes

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the boiled potato slices and sauté for another 5 minutes until golden and slightly crispy. Season with black pepper.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 8

    Shape Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a pizza shape.

  3. 9

    Add Toppings

Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the sautéed potatoes evenly over the dough, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions on top.

  4. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  5. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Slice and serve hot.
