Prepare the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties.

Cook the Patties
Place the beef patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties.

Add Ham and Cheese
On the flipped side, layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.

Toast the Buns
While the burgers are finishing cooking, place the burger buns cut-side down on the grill for 1-2 minutes until toasted.

Assemble the Burger
Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, place the patty with ham and cheese on top, and cover with the top bun. Serve immediately.
