Hot Roast Beef Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Hot Roast Beef Sandwich Directions

1

Prepare the Beef

Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Season the beef roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook in the oven for about 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

2

Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until golden brown. Gradually whisk in the beef broth, bringing it to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 5-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3

Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the roast beef thinly. Cut the bread rolls in half and layer the sliced beef on the bottom half. Spoon the gravy over the beef generously. Top with the other half of the bread roll.

4

Serve

Garnish the sandwiches with fresh parsley and serve warm with additional gravy on the side.
