Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Slice the onion into rings.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onions

In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté in the bacon fat until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Liver

Dredge the beef liver slices in flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Cook the Liver

In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed and heat over medium-high heat. Add the liver slices and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Combine and Serve

Top the cooked liver with the caramelized onions and crumbled bacon. Pour beef broth over the top and serve immediately.
