Season the ham steak on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Prepare the Ham Steak

Heat a grill pan over medium heat and add the olive oil. Place the pineapple ring on the pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized.

In the same grill pan, add the seasoned ham steak. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly charred.
