Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

  2. 2

    Add Broth and Seasonings

Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwiches

While the Au Jus is simmering, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Split the French rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Layer the thinly sliced roast beef on the bottom half of each roll.

  4. 4

    Toast the Rolls

Place the baking sheet in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the rolls are warm and slightly toasted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the rolls from the oven, pour the hot Au Jus into small bowls for dipping, and serve alongside the sandwiches.
