Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, making them slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Burger Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patty reaches your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cheesy burger patty, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your preferred condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise).

  3. 8

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently to secure. Serve immediately.
