Brewing the Tea

    Boil Water

    In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

    Add Tea

    Once boiling, remove from heat and add 4 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves or 4 tea bags to the water.

    Steep Tea

    Cover and let the tea steep for 5 to 7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

    Strain Tea

    After steeping, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves or tea bags.

Flavoring the Tea

    Add Lemon Juice

    Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice into the brewed tea.

    Sweeten to Taste

    Add 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar, adjusting to your preferred level of sweetness.

    Add fresh mint leaves for added flavor, using around 10 leaves or more to taste.
