Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your dog biscuits will bake evenly and become crispy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the spent grains, whole wheat flour, oats, and baking powder. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, peanut butter, and water until smooth and well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.

  5. 5

    Roll Out the Dough

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes for the biscuits.

  6. 6

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the cut-out biscuits onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced evenly apart.

  7. 7

    Bake the Biscuits

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and firm to the touch.

  8. 8

    Cool and Store

Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. Once cooled, store them in an airtight container.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve with Water

Serve the freshly baked dog biscuits to your furry friend alongside a bowl of fresh water. Enjoy the tail wags!
