Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Mixtures
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet mixture. Gently stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.

Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
