Method

Brewing the Coffee

  1. 1

    Grind the Coffee Beans

Using a coffee grinder, grind 1 cup of French roast coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. This will help in extracting the rich flavors during brewing.

  2. 2

    Boil the Water

In a kettle or pot, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil. Make sure to monitor the water closely to avoid over-boiling.

  3. 3

    Combine Coffee and Water

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and let it sit for about 30 seconds. This allows the temperature to drop slightly, making it ideal for brewing coffee. In a French press or coffee maker, add the ground coffee and pour the hot water over it.

  4. 4

    Steep the Coffee

Allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes. This time will enable the flavors to develop fully.

  5. 5

    Press and Serve

If using a French press, slowly press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee. Pour the coffee into mugs and serve hot.

Optional Add-Ins

  1. 6

    Customize Your Coffee

Add sugar and/or milk or cream according to your taste preferences. Stir well and enjoy your freshly brewed French roast coffee!
