Method

Prepare the Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cheese Sauce

  1. 2

    Create a Roux

In a separate large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Gradually whisk in the whole milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue cooking while stirring until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Cheese

Reduce heat to low and stir in the sharp cheddar and Gruyère cheese until fully melted and combined.

  4. 5

    Season the Sauce

Add salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder to the cheese sauce. Stir well to combine.

Combine the Ingredients

  1. 6

    Mix Pasta and Lobster

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and cooked lobster meat. Pour the cheese sauce over the mixture and stir until well combined.

Prepare the Topping

  1. 7

    Make the Breadcrumb Mixture

In a small bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter until evenly coated.

Bake the Lobster Mac

  1. 8

    Assemble and Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the lobster mac and cheese mixture to a baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the breadcrumb topping over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
