Prepare the Ingredients
Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water to remove excess sodium and improve flavor.

Peel and Dice the Mango
Peel the ripe mango, remove the pit, and dice the flesh into small pieces.

Prepare the Habanero
Wearing gloves, remove the stem from the habanero pepper. Cut it in half and remove the seeds for less heat, if desired. Finely chop the pepper.

Combine Ingredients
In a blender or food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, diced mango, finely chopped habanero, lime juice, olive oil, salt, ground cumin, and black pepper.

Blend the Dip
Blend the mixture until smooth. Adjust the consistency with a little water if it’s too thick.

Taste and Adjust
Taste the dip and adjust seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or habanero if desired.

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve with pita chips, vegetable sticks, or tortilla chips.
