Parker Rolls

Method

Baking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (110°F), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Rolls

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and place on a greased baking pan.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.

  7. 7

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. 8

    Bake the Rolls

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove the rolls from the oven, allow them to cool slightly before serving with seasonal butter.
