Parkerhouse Rolls

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (110°F), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Rolls

Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. 8

    Bake the Rolls

Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with everything seasoning. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
