Key Lime Baked Alaska Ingredients

Method

Directions for Key Lime Baked Alaska

1

Prepare the Graham Crust

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, chopped pecans, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form a crust. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Let it cool.

2

Make the Key Lime Filling

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until smooth. Gradually stir in the sweetened condensed milk and key lime juice until well combined. Pour the filling into the cooled crust.

3

Freeze the Dessert

Cover the springform pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until the filling is solid.

4

Prepare the Blackberry-Lime Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, lime juice, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens and the blackberries break down, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.

5

Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the frozen key lime filling in the springform pan.

6

Serve

Slice the Key Lime Baked Alaska and serve it drizzled with the blackberry-lime sauce.
