Waffle Batter

Method

Waffle Preparation

1

Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine quinoa flour, chia seeds, flax seeds, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine all dry ingredients.

2

Mix the Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together almond milk, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

3

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

4

Preheat the Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

5

Cook the Waffles

Once preheated, pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle iron (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on the size of your iron). Close the lid and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

Assembling the Waffles

6

Prepare the Toppings

While the waffles are cooking, slice fresh strawberries and banana.

7

Assemble the Waffle

Once the waffles are ready, remove them from the waffle iron and place them on a plate.

8

Add Toppings

Top the waffles with sliced strawberries, sliced bananas, and a sprinkle of granola.

9

Drizzle with Syrup and Sauce

Drizzle maple syrup and house made superfood fudge sauce over the top as desired.
