Mushroom Preparation

Method

Mushroom Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the large button mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Avoid rinsing them under water to prevent them from absorbing moisture.

  2. 2

    Remove Stems

Carefully twist and pull the stems from each mushroom cap and set aside. Make sure to leave the caps intact.

  3. 3

    Brush with Olive Oil

Brush the outside of each mushroom cap with olive oil to help them brown while baking.

Stuffing Mixture

  1. 4

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

  2. 5

    Fill the Mushrooms

Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the cheese mixture, pressing it in gently to ensure it’s well-packed.

Baking

  1. 6

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Arrange and Bake

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove the stuffed mushrooms from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack.
