Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat your oven to 160°C (325°F). Place the bone-in ham in a roasting pan, flat side down.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves. Mix well to form a glaze.

  3. 3

    Apply the Glaze

Brush the glaze generously over the surface of the ham, ensuring it covers all visible areas.

  4. 4

    Add Water

Pour water into the bottom of the roasting pan to keep the ham moist during cooking.

  5. 5

    Bake the Ham

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting with the pan juices every 30 minutes.

  6. 6

    Finish Baking

Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of baking to allow the glaze to caramelize.

  7. 7

    Slice and Serve

Once the ham is heated through and caramelized, remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing into thick pieces.
