Beef and Seasoning
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Roast
Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Rub the chuck roast all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
- 2
Sear the Roast
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the roast for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned. This step enhances the flavor.
- 3
Roast the Beef
Transfer the seared roast to a roasting pan. Pour the beef broth into the bottom of the pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and place in the preheated oven.
- 4
Slow Cook
Roast for approximately 3-4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 190°F (88°C) for a tender result.
- 5
Rest and Serve
Once done, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve with the pan juices.
