Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Rub

In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the rub.

2

Season the Meats

Rub the spice mixture generously over the brisket and pork shoulder, ensuring they are well coated. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

3

Cook the Brisket

Preheat your smoker or oven to 225°F (107°C). Place the brisket in the smoker or a roasting pan if using the oven. Pour 1 cup of beef broth into the pan. Smoke or roast for about 10-12 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

4

Cook the Pulled Pork

In a separate smoker or slow cooker, add the pork shoulder with the remaining beef broth and apple cider vinegar. Cook for 8-10 hours on low, or until the pork pulls apart easily with a fork.

5

Rest the Meat

Once cooked, remove the brisket and pork shoulder from heat and let them rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing (brisket) or shredding (pulled pork).

6

Serve

Slice the brisket against the grain and shred the pulled pork. Serve together with your favorite BBQ sauce and sides.
