Method

Ravioli Preparation

  1. 1

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in the first, beat the eggs in the second, and put the breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third.

  2. 2

    Bread the Ravioli

Take each cheese ravioli, first coat it in flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat until all ravioli are breaded.

Frying Ravioli

  1. 3

    Heat Oil

In a deep skillet or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the Ravioli

Carefully add the breaded ravioli to the hot oil, in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Marinara Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté Garlic

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  2. 6

    Make the Sauce

Add the canned crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar to the saucepan. Stir and let simmer for about 15 minutes to combine flavors.

  3. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in chopped fresh parsley just before serving for added freshness.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate and Serve

Arrange the fried ravioli on a serving plate and serve hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
