Appetizer 2: Caprese Skewers

Dessert: Chocolate Mousse

Method

Appetizer 1: Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Set the caps aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  4. 4

    Fill the Mushrooms

Spoon the filling into each mushroom cap generously.

  5. 5

    Bake

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Appetizer 2: Caprese Skewers

  1. 6

    Prepare the Skewers

On a skewer, thread a cherry tomato, a mozzarella ball, and a basil leaf. Repeat until all ingredients are used.

  2. 7

    Season

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the assembled skewers, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

Dessert: Chocolate Mousse

  1. 8

    Melt the Chocolate

In a heatproof bowl, melt the chopped dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  2. 9

    Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  3. 10

    Prepare Egg Mixture

In another bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and creamy. Add melted chocolate and vanilla extract, mixing well.

  4. 11

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold in the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until no streaks remain.

  5. 12

    Chill

Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
