Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil.

Add Spaghetti
Once the water is boiling, add the 10 oz of spaghetti. Stir occasionally, and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti in a colander and set aside.
Making Meatsauce

Cook Ground Beef
In a large skillet or saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 lb of ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in 28 oz of canned crushed tomatoes, 2 tbs of tomato paste, 1 tsp of dried basil, 1 tsp of dried oregano, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix well.

Simmer Sauce
Add 2 cups of water to the skillet, stir, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving

Combine and Serve
