Dough Preparation

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Mix Dough
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Assembling the Pizza

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out to your desired thickness on a floured surface.

Add Sauce and Cheese
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle mozzarella and asiago cheese evenly over the sauce.

Add Pepperoni
Top the cheese with pepperoni slices, distributing them evenly.

Bake Pizza
Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
