Parmesan Crusted Bread Sticks Recipe
Freshly baked bread sticks brushed with garlic and sprinkled with Parmesan, finished in our wood fired oven. Served with a side of marinara.

Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and garlic powder.

Combine Ingredients
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let the Dough Rise
Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Bread Sticks
Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a long stick.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your wood-fired oven to a temperature of approximately 450°F (232°C).

Brush with Olive Oil and Add Parmesan
Place the bread sticks on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake the Bread Sticks
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Marinara Sauce

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer the Sauce
Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish with Fresh Basil
Stir in chopped fresh basil just before serving.
