Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, mix the ingredients until well combined. Form the mixture into 12 evenly sized meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.

Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, sugar, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Simmer the Sauce
Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the marinara sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-10 minutes.
