Method

Preparation of Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each fillet is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling the Salmon

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for another 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Preparing Side Items (Optional)

  1. 5

    Grill Asparagus

Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill alongside the salmon for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until tender.

  2. 6

    Prepare Mixed Greens

Wash and dry mixed greens. Toss with your favorite dressing just before serving.

  3. 7

    Cook Quinoa

Rinse quinoa under cold water. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of quinoa with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until the quinoa is fluffy.
